The First Warning Storm Team is tracking shower and storm chances for Sunday afternoon.

A cold front will make its way toward the region on Sunday. Some showers and storms are possible Sunday afternoon ahead of the frontal system. It doesn’t look like it’s going to be a total washout, just keep an umbrella handy. It’ll be a bit more on the humid side with highs in the low to mid 80s.

Better rain chances heading into the overnight hours Sunday and into Monday. Lows in the lower 70s Sunday night. Highs a few degrees cooler on Monday, but still in the 80s.

We continue to keep our eyes on Tropical Depression Julia, continuing to linger off the coast of the Carolinas. Some remnant moisture is possible on Monday and Tuesday.

Sunday: Some sunshine to start, followed by increasing clouds. Shower and storm chances in the afternoon and evening (20%). Highs in the low to mid 80s. Winds: SE 5-10 mph

Sunday night: Showers and storms (50%). Lows in the lower 70s. Winds: SE 5-10 mph.
