The First Warning Storm Team is tracking a cooler end to the workweek.
Breezy conditions overnight with winds out of the northeast. Lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Partly to mostly cloudy skies as we head into Friday. Expect more sunshine in the morning, with increasing clouds in the afternoon. Another chance for isolated showers. Not going to be widespread, so we’re giving it about a 20 percent chance. A little taste of Fall, with highs in the upper 70s. Still going to be on the breezy side with winds out of the east at 10-20 mph.
Back to the 80s this weekend. Expect highs in the low to mid 80s. A mixture of sun and clouds for both Saturday and Sunday. Another cold front is set to move in late Sunday and into Monday, increasing our chances for showers and storms.

Tropical Update
Tropical Storm Julia continues to churn off the coast of South and North Carolina. Julia is located about 190 miles ESE of Charleston, South Carolina and 270 miles SSW of Cape Hatteras and is moving ESE at 5 mph. Julia will meander over the next couple of days and then become a remnant low. There is uncertainty with the models. Some models show Julia taking a northeast track, others a southeast track and some show no motion at all.
Tropical Storm Karl forms over the far eastern tropical Atlantic and is located 575 miles WNW of the Cabo Verde Islands. Maximum sustained winds are 45 mph with some higher gusts. Karl is moving toward the west at 14 mph. Motion toward the west and west-southwest is expected for the next couple of days. Little channg in strength is forecast during the next two days.
Tropical Storm Ian is expected to lose tropical characteristics over the North Atlantic on Friday. Ian is about 995 miles WNW of the Azores. Maximum sustained winds of 50 mph with higher gusts. Some strengthening is expected over the next couple of days. Ian is forecast to become a storm-force extratropical low by Friday afternoon.
