Friday night stargazers will get a treat with a view of the Harvest Moon.

The term Harvest Moon refers to the full moon that is seen nearest to the time of the Autumn equinox.

There will also be a slight lunar eclipse, on the moon which will only be visible from the Eastern Hemisphere.

The full Harvest Moon will peak at 3:05 p.m. on Friday but it is best viewed the day before and after the actual full moon date.

The moon should look particularly close and may seem larger than usual.

The moon should be a great sight wherever you are!
