78-year-old James Rufus Thompson
Virginia State Police say a man reported missing from Fairfax County has been found safe in Sussex County.
The Virginia State Police has issued a Senior Alert Tuesday night for 78-year-old James Rufus Thompson.
Thompson was last seen on Monday in Fairfax, wearing a checkered shirt, black pants, and a red, white, and blue ball cap.
He is a black male, 5’7″ and about 177 pounds.

Thompson was believed to have been driving a tan 2006 GMC Savana van with plate number VPJ-6172.
Thompson suffers from cognitive impairment and his disappearance poses a threat to his health and safety.
He has family in both the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area.
