Chesapeake courthouse briefly evacuated due to bomb threat

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – The Chesapeake General District Court and Circuit Court building at 307 Albemarle Drive was briefly evacuated Monday morning after a bomb threat was made.

According to the Chesapeake Fire Department, the threat was made at 9:05 a.m.

The building was evacuated and allowed to be reoccupied at 9:35 a.m.

The Fire Marshals Office is currently investigating the incident.
