Two children missing from Greensboro, NC found with their mother

UPDATE:  Two children who were reported missing in Greensboro were found with their mother and are safe, according to police.

Davion McCollum, 6, and 2-year-old Neveah McCollum were found on Sunday, September 11, according to Greensboro Police. The children were reported missing on Sep. 6.

PREVIOUSLY:

GREENSBORO, N.C. – An AMBER Alert has been issued for two children believed to have been taken from their home in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Davion McCollum is a 6-year-old boy. He is about three feet tall and weighs 50 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean shorts. Greensboro Police say Davion has a medical condition and is missing two toes on his right foot.

Neveah McCollum is a 2-year-old girl. She is about two feet tall and weighs 30 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jean shorts. Her hair was in a ponytail with yellow hair bows.

The two children are believed to have been abducted by 27-year-old Michael Mayo. He is approximately 5’8″ tall and 155 pounds with black hair. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and grey gym shorts. A picture of Mayo was not provided.

They were last seen at 225 Durham St., Greensboro.

According to FOX8, Greensboro Police say the report was submitted by the Department of Social Services when they went to the home and the children were not there. As of Wednesday morning, they’re not sure if it was an abduction.
