Warmer temperatures are moving in….We hope you’ve enjoyed the break from the extreme heat because over the next few days, our temperatures are going up.

As we move through this Tuesday afternoon, expect high temperatures in the upper 80s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. While most areas will be dry today, a couple of isolated showers are not out of the question this evening. Otherwise, we’ll see a few clouds tonight with overnight low temperatures in the lower 70s.

On Wednesday, highs will climb into the mid and upper 80s under a mix of sun and clouds. A few scattered showers and storms could develop by afternoon and evening.

By Thursday, our highs will reach the lower 90s. And by Friday and Saturday, highs will remain in the 90s. A cold front moves in Sunday, giving way to scattered showers and storms and cooler weather on Monday.

A quick update on the tropics: Hermine continues to meander to our northeast just off the coast of New York.  The setup will continue to create rough surf, a high threat of rip currents, and some nuisance to minor tidal flooding around high tide today. As the system pushes farther out to sea and dissipates, those threats will diminish.

Today: A Few Clouds. Warmer, Breezy. Highs in the upper 80s. Winds: NW 5-15 mph.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy. Lows near 70. Winds: W 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow: Partly Cloudy. A Few Scattered Showers/Storms Possible (30%). Highs in the upper mid and upper 80s. Winds: NW/W 5-10 mph.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 65 mph with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours.
