What a shot!

An Ohio State student  tweeted a video that she says shows another student in her class making a shot “and getting the entire lecture an automatic 100 on our first ochem quiz.”

The video has been retweeted almost 100,000 times.

The student– Vinny Forte of Richmond Heights (not Benny, as the tweet accidentally states)– makes a paper ball toss from all the way across the lecture hall and sinks the shot.

Professor of the class, Dr. Christopher Callam, explained it to The Comeback.

“We are using the ball to help understand acid base chemistry, to understand proton donors and proton acceptors. The student can then try to make a basket to earn 100% on the first quiz.”

Dr. Callam told The Comeback someone also sunk the shot last year in his first semester organic chemistry class, but no one recorded it. So, he told the students to get out their phones in case someone lucked out again this year.. and someone did!
