A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for coastal locations in Hampton Roads and Northeastern North Carolina.

Post-Tropical Cyclone Hermine will linger off of the Mid-Atlantic coast today and early next week.

After heavy rain, gusty winds and tidal flooding on Saturday, conditions have calmed a bit as Hermine moves toward the ENE. However, tidal flooding will still be a major issue on both today and Monday. Gusty winds will stick around as well for both days. We have a chance to see some rain today and Monday, but neither day will be a washout. We will continue to get some rain especially in coastal locations, as the rain wraps around Hermine. Winds actually look to be a little stronger on Labor Day as Hermine starts retrograding and moving closer to us once again. Drier and warmer weather will be on tap for Tuesday.

Sunday: Hermine lingers off of the VA coast and gets stronger. Expect mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers mixed in throughout the day. It will still be very windy with NW winds at 20 to 30 mph and gusts to near 40. Expect the strongest winds on the Eastern Shore, gusts to 50+ possible. Moderate tidal flooding is expected Sunday near our midday high tide.

Monday: Hermine will move back closer to our coast. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with isolated showers possible. It will remain windy with NW winds at 10 to 20 and gusts to near 30 mph. Winds will remain stronger on the Eastern Shore. Minor tidal flooding is expected near our high tides at midnight and 12:30 PM.

Sunday: Mostly Cloudy, scattered showers (30%). Highs in the mid 70s. Winds: NW 20-30 G40

Sunday night: Mostly cloudy and breezy. Chance for showers (20%) Lows in the upper 60s. Winds NW 15-20 G30
