A sixth grader created a charity to provide Rubik’s Cubes to children at a local hospital.

Dylan Hirth can do the Rubik’s Cube in 37 seconds.

“Well, I just like the Rubik’s Cube cause it’s a puzzle and I like to challenge myself,” the 11-year-old said.

His love of the Rubik’s Cube inspired him to buy some for the kids who are patients at Mercy Children’s Hospital. He mows the lawn, babysits, and cleans up after his aunt’s dog to get the money.

“They give me money, then I buy them on Amazon and bring them here every month,” he said.

“So many of our kids are in isolation, where they can’t leave their rooms,” said Katelyn Kuenzle, child life specialist. “So it gives them something to do while they sit in their room, and brings a challenge along the way.”

Hirth created a charity called “Kubes 4 Kidz” in hopes of raising more money to buy more cubes for more children.
