NORFOLK, Va. -Matthew Courser watched his security camera in disbelief as he watched someone steal his Donald Trump sign from his yard.

“I was kind of shocked that someone would stop, get out of their car and come after a particular political sign," Courser said. "No harm, no foul, just wow, the audacity of some individuals.”

Courser planted the red, white, and blue “Trump – Make America Great Again” sign in his front yard only a month ago.

"I put the support sign in for Donald Trump because I believe in him. Pride, patriotism, and he is the one who will get the job done and set America back on the path to greatness," Courser tells News 3.

But he suspects the unidentified man doesn't agree with Trump’s idea of “making America great”.

"Whether they’re a Hillary Clinton supporter, or maybe even a Bernie Sanders support,  I  don’t know and that’s all on their opinion. I do respect their opinion. I just frown upon destruction of other people’s property," he said.

Courser says when he was walking through his yard yesterday, he found the flag on the ground next to his neighbor’s fence.

"When they took it out of the yard, they may have just thrown it in his yard just to get rid of it," Courser said.

Courser says he and his wife are working to put up a bigger and brighter sign next week.

Even though he has the flag back, Courser says he’s planning to hand over the video to police.
