Meteorologist April Loveland’s First Warning Forecast

Enjoy the 80s Thursday, because the First Warning Storm Team is tracking heat and humidity through the weekend… A large area of high pressure builds in tonight and will last through the weekend. Clouds clearing tonight with some patchy fog possible. A comfortable night with lows in the lower 70s.

As we move through Thursday, we’ll get a break from some of the extreme heat and humidity, but it won’t last long. Highs Thursday in the mid to upper 80s, under a mix of sun and clouds. A few stray afternoon showers are possible, but we’re not expecting widespread rain.

A big change on Friday, as the heat and humidity return. Highs will climb into the lower 90s on Friday with mostly dry conditions. Expect temperatures in the mid 90s for Saturday and low to mid 90s on Sunday. When you take in account the humidity, we will have triple digit heat index values. A slight chance for an isolated shower or storm over the weekend. The 90s will stay with us through midweek.

Tonight: Clearing skies. Some patchy fog possible. Lows in the low 70s. Winds: NE 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow: A Few Clouds. Stray Showers (20%). Highs in the mid 80s. Winds: NE 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow night: Mostly clear skies. Lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Winds: SE around 5.
