Woman wanted for Hampton shooting considered armed and dangerous

HAMPTON, Va. – Police are looking for a woman in connection with a shooting that happened Thursday.

Officers were called to the 900 block of West Pembroke Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. where they found a 35-year-old Hampton man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and suspect, whom were known to each other, were walking in the area when they got into a verbal altercation.

HollowayAt some point, the suspect got into a silver sedan and shot the victim. She then got out of the vehicle and fled the area on foot,

The suspect was identified as 27-year-old Kernet Holloway.  She currently has warrants on file for one count of Aggravated Maiming and one count of Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.

Holloway is considered armed and dangerous.
