Tracking the heat, humidity and a chance of storms….Brace yourself! It’s going to feel like the triple digits. Plus, we’re tracking more showers and thunderstorms.

As we move through our Tuesday afternoon and evening, all eyes will be on a cold front to our northwest. As the front clashes with the heat and humidity in place today, we’ll likely see scattered showers and thunderstorms. Any storms that develop will likely produce heavy rain and gusty winds. There could be some small hail with these storms, too. We’ll track it very closely through the day. Showers and storms should wind down later tonight as overnight lows drop into the mid 70s.

On Wednesday, with the front to our south and a shift in our winds, it won’t be quite as hot. We’ll see highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. And we’ll also see a few thunderstorms moving in, too, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Some of the rain could be heavy. Otherwise, we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds.

By Thursday into the weekend, rain chances will go down a bit. However, we’re not taking the chances completely out of the forecast. We’ll be in our typical summertime pattern, with a chance of pop-up showers and storms. High temperatures, though, will be going up into the low and mid 90s, but because of the humidity, it will feel like the triple digits! Take your precautions.

Today: Partly Sunny, Scattered Showers/Storms(40%), Hot & Humid. Highs in the low 90s. Heat index near 100. Winds: SW/W 5-15

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(30%). Lows in the mid 70s. Winds: SW 5-10

Tomorrow: Partly Sunny, Scattered Showers/Storms(40%). Highs in the upper 80s. Winds: W 5-10
