Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

Warming up and tracking storms…. Expect plenty of sunshine again today but it will be warmer. Highs will climb from the 60s this morning to the mid and upper 80s this afternoon. Highs will climb to near 90 on Tuesday before a cold front moves in. The front will also bring us a chance for scattered showers and storms, especially for Tuesday late afternoon and evening. Some storms could be strong to severe.

Highs will slide back into the low to mid 80s for the second half of the work week. Rain chances will drop for Wednesday but scattered showers and storms return for Thursday and Friday.

Today: Mostly Sunny, Warmer. Highs in the mid to upper 80s. Winds: W 5-10

Tonight: Partly Cloudy. Lows near 70. Winds: SW 5-10

Tomorrow: Partly Sunny, PM Scattered Showers/Storms(40%). Highs near 90. Winds: SW 10-20

Tropical Update

Tropical Storm Danielle gains strength as it approaches Mexico. TS Danielle is about 75 miles ESE of Tuxpan, Mexico and about 105 miles north of Veracruz, Mexico. It is moving west at 7 mph and will continue to move generally west over the next day or so. On the forecast track, the center of Danielle is expected to move inland over eastern Mexico later today or tonight. Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph with higher gusts. Little change in strength is expected before Danielle makes landfall in Mexico later today.
