Meteorologist April Loveland’s First Warning Forecast

Clean sweeps on the radar tonight. You can keep up to date with the News 3 Interactive Radar HERE.

A mostly clear and calm night in store. Temperatures will drop off after sunset. Even though winds have eased up, we still have a moderate rip current risk due to the continued easterly winds. Lows tonight in the low to mid-60s.

Monday will be another dry day as high pressure dominates the region. Highs in the mid to upper-80s with light winds. A moderate rip current risk will still exist. Temperatures will continue to warm up on Tuesday into the upper 80s to around 90. There is a disturbance that could bring us a chance for some thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has us in the ‘slight risk’ category for severe weather. This is something we will be keeping an eye on.

Unsettled weather conditions Tuesday evening through Friday, with shower and storm chances.
