Meteorologist April Loveland’s First Warning Forecast

Strong storms and gusty winds on tap overnight…we will be keeping an eye on storms this evening and overnight. The main threat with these storms will be  heavy rain and gusty winds. If you have any loose items in your yard, make sure to secure them. Lows tonight near 70.

As the low moves offshore into Friday, we’ll have scattered rain, a few storms and gusty winds. In fact, our winds will blow in from the northeast between 20 and 30 mph, with higher gusts. So, we’ll likely have some tidal flooding around high tide on Friday. High tide at Sewells Point on Friday is at 7:46 a.m. and 8:11 p.m. Highs on Friday will in the upper 70s.

The weekend is not looking too shabby. Temperatures will trend below normal in the mid to upper 70s. Saturday will still be a little breezy with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Sunday is looking like a great day for dad! Highs in the mid to upper 70s with dry conditions. Temperatures start to trend above normal as we head into next week.
