CHESAPEAKE, Va. – According to fire officials, crews responded to the 1000 block of Newstead Circle on reports of a fire.
The call came in just before 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Crews arrived on the scene at 2:35 p.m. The fire was under control in less than 30 minutes.
A spokesperson said the family of five that lived in the home is displaced. They have made lodging arrangements in the area.
One woman was sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
