NORFOLK, Va. – Visitors are invited to step inside the ‘Truth Booth’ sponsored by In Search of the Truth, June 24-25 at the Chrysler Museum of Art.

The inflatable booths prompt participants by iPad to finish the sentence “The truth is…” they then have two minutes to share their thoughts.

The response will then be recorded with some shared online.unspecified

The confessional- style booth is a project created by a group of artists called Cause Collective. Among the many artists associated with this project is Hank Willis Thomas.

The museum plans to allow access to the new summer exhibit, Herb Ritts: The Rock Portraits, until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 24.

They will also be honoring the Truth Booth’s visit with an art performance entitled “Bottled Emotion” that embodies the same efforts as the Truth Booth, to release any repressing feelings.

During the demonstration, the public will be given the opportunity to literally bottle unwanted emotions by blowing into an oxygen mask that is attached to a blowpipe.

The Truth Booth will be set up near Grace St. and Memorial Dr. from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on June 24-25, and the “Bottled Emotion” performance will take place from 6 – 8 p.m.
