CHESAPEAKE, Va. -Police are investigating a report of an assault and attempted robbery Saturday night.
Officers were called to the Tinee Giant in the 1000 block of Jackson Ave. shortly before 10 p.m. on a report of an injured person.
When officers arrived, the victim, a 30-year-old man, told them that he had been assaulted by three unknown black males who tried to rob him just prior to him entering the store.
The victim was cut on his shoulder during the altercation but police did not know what the victim was cut with.
The suspects got away on foot.
The victim was treated on scene for his minor injury.
