Hampton armed robbery turns into multi-vehicle accident when victim pursues suspects

HAMPTON, Va. – One man has been arrested, and one is wanted in connection with a Wednesday morning robbery.

Nathan Schlosser-Goodson, 18, is in Hampton Police custody and is charged with one count of Robbery and one count of Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.

Jowann Mieem Andrade, 21, has wanted in connection with this incident. His last known address is  the 700 block of Hemlock Avenue.

Officers were initially called Wednesday morning to the intersection of E. Tyler Street and Settlers Landing Road around 11:45 a.m. for a multi-vehicle accident.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was sitting in his vehicle in the area when he was approached by unknown suspects who produced a firearm and demanded property.

The suspects got an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a maroon Chevy sedan.

The victim pursued the suspects on E. Tyler Street toward Settlers Landing Road and hit the suspects’ vehicle with his own vehicle, causing the Chevy sedan to hit a black pick-up truck in the intersection.

The victim’s vehicle, a silver Chrysler sedan, hit a red Ford pick-up truck on the I-64 off ramp.

The suspects in the Chevy sedan fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
