FAIRFAX, Va. – One of George Mason‘s “graduates” last weekend was a little furrier than his classmates. Railey Quiltstorm Dog-Jolliff, a service dog who assists Tiffany Jolliff, received an honorary degree to recognize his attendance in all classes and dedication to his job.

The Labrador has been a team with Jolliff for the majority of his life and his honorary degree was granted by the School of Policy, Government, and International Affairs.

Railey won over his classmates and professors with his friendly demeanor and social skills. Jolliff remarked that he is already an accomplished college student. “Railey walked with me when I received my economics degree from Illinois State University in 2011. I’m sure he feels that it is high time he received a diploma for all the hard work he has done,” she stated.
