NORFOLK, Va. – Police need your help finding a man accused of assaulting another man, sending the victim to the hospital.

Suspect: Daryl R. Ricks, 56, of Fenner Street

Wanted for: Malicious Wounding and Strangulation

The assault happened on April 21 around 3:30 a.m. at a home on Guy Ave.  According to police, Ricks was with a friend inside an apartment when they had an argument that turned physical.  Police say Ricks assaulted his friend, causing major facial fractures, and then began to choke him.

Once he realized his friend was losing consciousness, police say Ricks ran out of the apartment.  The victim, a 57-year-old, was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
