NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A 34-year-old Suffolk man who was shot on Friday night has died of his injuries, according to police.
Charles Levar Sharpe died in the hospital Monday morning.
Police received a call about gunshots heard in the 1100 block of Garden Drive Friday evening just after 9:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found Sharpe lying on the ground with a single gunshot wound.
