Police looking for Newport News Waffle House robber

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Police need your help finding a man who robbed the Waffle House in the 600 block of Denbigh Boulevard.

On Tuesday at 10:45 p.m., a man came into the restaurant, pulled out a handgun and told employees to put their hands up.

The suspect came up to the counter and demanded money from the register. After the employees gave him the cash, he robbed a customer that was inside the restaurant.

After taking the register money and customer’s property, the robber left the building and ran behind another business in a northwestern direction.

There were no reported injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’8″ to 5’10” and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark gray hoodie with the word “EVEREST” written in white lettering on the front, light blue jeans, black shoes and blue gloves.
