Hampton bank robbery suspect turns himself in to police

UPDATE: According to Hampton Police, Anthony Echevarria turned himself in to police on Sunday, May 15. 

HAMPTON, Va. – Police in Hampton need your help finding a suspect wanted in connection to a bank robbery.

Suspect: Anthony Echevarria

Wanted for: two counts of robbery, two counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony, one count of burglary while armed and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The charges are in connection to a bank robbery that happened at Langley Federal Credit Union on Fox Hill Road back in January.

According to police, Echevarria went into the bank armed with a gun, demanded money and then took off in a white sedan.

No one was injured.

Echevarria’s last known address is on Union Street in Hampton.  Police say they believe he is still somewhere in the Hampton Roads area.

Police have described Echevarria as a black man with a medium complexion, 6′ tall and 240 lbs. with two tear drop tattoos next to his right eye.
