Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast
Another chance for severe storms… A cold front will continue to linger over the Mid-Atlantic today, keeping clouds, showers and storms in the forecast. Expect on and off showers throughout today with thunderstorms mixing in. Some storms could be strong to severe with gusty winds, heavy downpours and hail possible. Highs will reach the mid 70s today.
The cold front will slide off of the coastline for Wednesday but still close enough to keep clouds and showers over the region. Our threat for severe storms will be much lower for the second half of the week. Highs will slip into the upper 60s tomorrow.
Another area of low pressure will move in for Thursday and will slide off of the NC coast on Friday. Expect a mix of clouds with scattered showers and a slim chance for storms both Thursday and Friday. Highs will remain in the upper 60s both days.
Expect more sunshine and highs warming into the 70s and 80s this weekend.
