Caroline County, Va. – A child is dead and a man is still missing after a boat overturned on a private pond Saturday night in Caroline County.
According to WTVR.com, the body of 4-year-old Jalen E. Stewart was found around 12:15 a.m. Sunday. His remains were taken to the Medical Examiner to determine his cause of his death.
The search continues for Stewart’s grandfather, 73-year-old Alvin “Boone” Clark.
The search is happening off at a private pond off Sparta Road a few miles from Bowling Green.
The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office along with Fire Rescue and EMS are being assisted in the search by the Spotsylvania and Stafford County Sheriff’s Offices, the Virginia State Police Dive Team, a Med Flight unit and the State Conservation Police.
The two were supposed to be fishing but their boat capsized.
