Virginia Beach, Va. – Four people were taken into custody after leading police on a chase across Hampton Roads early Friday.
Portsmouth Police dispatchers tell NewsChannel 3 the incident started just before 3 a.m. on Welcome Court when officers began following the vehicle, which had been reported stolen.
Chesapeake Police and Virginia Beach Police both became involved, assisting Portsmouth Police as the car traveled through their cities.
The pursuit eventually ended in the 1600 block of Mill Landing Road, in the Pungo section of Virginia Beach, approximately 30 miles from where it began.
The four people in the vehicle were taken into custody.
No one was injured.
