Atlanta, Ga. – A man wanted for fatally shooting a man in a Suffolk cemetery in March was captured in Atlanta Thursday.

Karlton Lamond Boone Jr., an 18 year-old Suffolk native known as “Lil Jodi,” was tracked down and arrested by U.S. Marshals.

Boone, who turns 19 Saturday, is wanted for the fatal shooting of 42 year-old Wayne Anthony Watford in a Suffolk cemetery on March 1.

On March 4, the Suffolk Police Department identified Boone as the murder suspect.

Warrants were issued charging Boone with First Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Shoot Stab Cut or Wound, and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Violent Felon. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force was asked to take over the fugitive investigation and find Boone.

After following up on numerous leads and a month-long investigation, U.S. Marshals took Boone into custody without incident Thursday morning at an Atlanta apartment.

Boone is being held at the Fulton County Jail, awaiting return to Virginia.
