Newport News, Va. – A home health aide for a 80-year-old woman has been charged with seven counts of credit card fraud.
On January 15, the son of the elderly woman reported to police that his mom’s debit card was used between June 2015 and January 2016.
The Economic Crimes detective obtained warrants for Penny Williams for several counts of credit card fraud, seven counts of identity theft and one count of credit card theft.
Williams, 25, turned herself into police on March 17.
Williams was a home health care aide for the victim during both of the incidents.
