Newport News, Va. – Newport News Police are currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred Friday morning at the Virginia Educators Credit Union in the 800 block of Main Street.
The man approached a teller and demanded money from the drawer. After receiving an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, the man fled the bank on foot.
Police say the suspect was described as a black male wearing a blue hoodie and a mask. He was approximately 5’8” to 5’9” tall.
