Accomack County, Va. – The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a dead body on February 15.
When officials arrived near Onancock on Northside Road, they determined that Leland Franklin Helmstetter Jr. was dead and an area of inside of his home was burned.
The cause of his death has not been determined yet.
Officials believe the fire is accidental at this time, however the investigation is still ongoing.
