Tracking snow and dangerously cold temps....We're going to see a big plunge in our temperatures over the next several days.  In fact, it will be cold enough to see some snow.

As we move through this Wednesday evening, a few snow flurries will be possible. Otherwise, expect partly cloudy skies with overnight low temperatures in the mid 20s.

On Thursday, high temperatures will reach the mid 30s under mostly sunny skies. On Friday, highs will reach the mid 30s, too. But we'll also see an area of low pressure sliding to our south on Friday, which could produce a few snow showers for parts of the viewing area. Some accumulations are likely, anywhere from a dusting to possibly a half-inch at this time. Best snow chances will be over NE North Carolina and Southside Hampton Roads. But some snow will be possible over the lower Peninsula and parts of the Eastern Shore. We'll be the first to warn you of any changes with the forecast.

The cold will stick around through the weekend. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid 30s.  Wind chills by Sunday morning will be in the single digits!  Then, by Sunday afternoon, highs will only reach the upper 20s.  Highs will rebound into the mid 40s by next week.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy. A Few Flurries Possible (20%). Breezy. Low temperatures in the mid 20s. Winds: W 10-20 mph.

Thursday: Mostly Sunny. Cold & Windy. High temperatures in the mid 30s. Winds: NW 15-25+ mph.

Friday: Mostly Cloudy. Chance of Snow (30%). High temperatures in the mid 30s. Winds: S 5-10 mph.
