Norfolk, Va. – The Norfolk Tides’ new seahorse mascot finally has a name!
Tides fans submitted over 1,000 names for the new mascot and then voted on which one was their favorite.
After narrowing it down to five choices — Berkley, Seamore, Skipper, Sonar and Triton, the fans voted on Facebook.
After a week-long vote, Triton was chosen as the new name by an overwhelming amount of votes!
Seamore and Skipper were a distant second and third choice!
The Tides season opener is on April 7th.
