Chesapeake, Va. – A suspected drunk driver was taken to a hospital Sunday night after hitting three parked cars.
Officers were called out to the 3000 block of Yakima Road about the incident around 8:51 p.m.
According to police, a man driving a pick-up truck had hit two cars as he was traveling down the road. After striking the third vehicle, the driver couldn’t proceed any further.
The driver is being transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for his injuries.
Police say it is unclear what the circumstances are that caused the accident, but the preliminary investigation indicates the driver may have been intoxicated.
