Crystal River, Fla. – A 3-year-old went on a road trip in a very…unconventional way.
According to WTHR, the toddler rode his Power Wheels in the media of US 19 in Crystal River, Florida.
Several drivers saw the boy, and witnesses stopped to help the toddler on North Suncoast Boulevard.
“I was shocked,” said Danny Collins, who took photos of the incident. “That’s why I took the pictures. I was like nobody’s going to believe. Could have ended a lot differently if not for the people who stopped.”
Collins says the boy’s dad told deputies his son left the house while he was in the bathroom. Collins said the father said his son was alone in the living room and used a chair to reach the front door’s lock.
When the father was asked how his son was doing, he told reporters, “Now’s not a good time, man.”
