Surry County, Va. – An 85-year-old man was killed Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of VA-31 and Rt.10.
According to police, Albert Simpson pulled out in front of another car at a stop sign around 1 p.m. and was hit.
Simpson died at the scene. The other driver had minor injuries.
The accident caused police to close Rt.10 for several hours.
According to police, they will not charge the other driver because Simpson was at fault.
