Newport News, Va. – About 2,700 customers were without power Saturday night.
It happened around 5 p.m. near Jefferson Avenue and City Center Boulevard.
Power is restored to some customers, but about 300 are still without power.
According to a spokesperson, a failed underground cable was the cause for the outage.
