One person shot in Chesapeake neighborhood

Chesapeake, Va. – One person was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after a shooting in Chesapeake Friday night.

At approximately 9:50 p.m., police responded to the 2600 Block of Yale Ct. for reports of an injured person.

Officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the leg and hand.

Medics arrived transported the victim to Sentera Norfolk General Hospital with apparent non-life threatening injuries.

There is no suspect information at this time.
