Police still looking for suspects in home invasion, shooting incident near Granby schools

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk Police are looking for two men who police say forced their way into an apartment and discharged a gun while assaulting the resident inside.

No one was injured, but the incident did force two nearby schools into lock downs.

The incident happened in the 400 block of Kingsley Lane around 1:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

After breaking into the home, assaulting the resident and firing the gun, the suspects reportedly stole personal property from the victims and ran from the area.

Granby High School and Granby Elementary School were on a lock down as a precaution for about 30 minutes while police searched the area.

One suspect is described as a black male between 35-40 years old, approximately 5’10”, 190 pounds. He had a gold front tooth, a mustache and was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and dark jeans.

The other suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, approximately 6′ to 6’2”, 150 pounds. He was wearing all dark clothing.
