Chesapeake, Va. – Private pilot Luke DeLisio’s most recent flight was unforgettable.
During DeLisio’s trip in his Cessna 140 out of the Hampton Roads Executive Airport in Chesapeake, he asked his girlfriend Mollie Burgess to spend the rest of her life with him–and caught the whole thing on camera.
DeLisio secretly got both of the couple’s families together and told Burgress they would fly near the Norfolk athletic fields where she works.
Not only did DeLisio propose to his now-fiance while in the air, but he had his friend spell “Marry me?” in big white letters on a football field in Norfolk.
Burgess’ answer? “Of course!”
