UPDATE: Missing Portsmouth man suffering from Alzheimer’s found safe

UPDATE: Christopher Pierce has been located safe and sound with his vehicle, according to police.

Portsmouth, Va. – Detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department’s Special Victims Unit are asking for the public’s help in finding 87-year-old Christopher C. Pierce.

Pierce was last seen Tuesday morning at approximately 6:30 a.m. before driving away in his vehicle. Pierce suffers from a medical condition and is dependent upon medication, which he does not have with him. He has also been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Christopher Pierce is a light skinned black male standing approximately 5’2” tall and weighing 240 pounds.  He has brown eyes and black hair.  Pierce was last seen wearing khaki pants and a white shirt with brown stripes. He was driving a silver 1996 4-door Lincoln Towne Car with Virginia handicapped license plates bearing the numbers 315883.
