Norfolk, Va. – One man was arrested Saturday night after a meth lab was found in a hotel room in Norfolk.

Multiple agencies investigated the incident at the Ocean View Inn, which began when an off-duty officer working part-time at the hotel discovered three people in a room with materials that are commonly used to produce meth.

All three people were detained and Norfolk Fire Rescue, Norfolk Police Vice and Narcotic Detectives and the D.E.A responded to the scene on Ocean View Avenue.

Detectives charged a 24-year-old Norfolk man with Manufacturing Methamphetamines, Possession of Methamphetamines, and Possession of 2 or more Precursors-Methamphetamines.

He is currently held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.

The man’s identity is being withheld at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

The other two people detained that night were released without charges.

No injuries were reported.
