Norfolk, Va. – A vehicle slammed into the Angel Food Mart in Norfolk on Thursday.
This happened at the intersection of Tidewater Drive and Widgeon Road.
Police say a 19-year-old driver thought he hit the brakes but accidentally hit the gas pedal.
He hit the front of the building.
The driver was charged with reckless driving.
The store was evacuated.
Norfolk crews are evaluating the building to determine if it is safe.
