VB Police search for suspect that robbed Chartway Credit Union Saturday morning

Virginia Beach, Va. – Police say there was a robbery at the Chartway Federal Credit Union on Ferrell Parkway Saturday morning.

They say a male entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money and that he had a weapon around 10:30 a.m. He fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 30s, he was wearing a white t-shirt and a blue hat with white letters.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is encouraged to call Virginia Beach Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887) or by texting “VBTIP” and the information to CRIMES (274637).   Tipsters will remain anonymous and could be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward if their information leads to an arrest.
