Man points gun at clerk’s head, takes off with cash at Newport News Shell Station

Newport News, Va. – A man armed with a handgun went into a gas station in Newport News, demanded money and took off after the robbery.

This happened on August 23rd at the Shell Station on 9082 Warwick Blvd.

The gunman took money from the register then pointed the gun at the clerk’s head and demanded the key to the safe.

The employee told the robber that he did not have access to the safe, the suspect left with the cash.

He’s described as a black male about 30-35 years old. He weighs between 180-190 pounds and stands about 5’10 to 5’11 tall.

He was wearing sunglasses, a black scarf covering his face and a navy blue scar covering his head and black gloves.
