Norfolk, Va. - A woman reported that she was forcefully grabbed by a man on the campus of Old Dominion University, but police say that was a lie.

She told police that the incident happened on July 6, 2015 but after an investigation, police have determined that this did not happen.

She claimed that  she was walking near the Perry Library when she was approached by a man asking for directions. She said the man then forcefully grabbed her and began pulling her.

"I woke up in the middle of the night at like 2 am and I saw it, and I started freaking out," says Brooke Wharam after she receive an alert about the incident.

Now the student, 20-year-old Nyasia A. Baker from Dumfries, Virginia has been charged with filing a false report with police. This is a class 1 misdemeanor.
