Suspect arrested in Hampton business robbery

Hampton, Va. — Hampton Police arrested a man in connection with a business robbery that occurred Sunday evening.

At 11 PM, police responded to a robbery at Todds Lane Grocery in the 1800 block of Todds Lane.

The investigation revealed that the suspect entered the business, displayed a firearm, and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the business on foot.

There were no patrons inside the business at the time of the incident and neither employee was injured.

Dallas Marshall Thompson, a 21-year-old Hampton man, was arrested in connection with this incident.

He was charged with one count of Robbery, one count of Wearing a Mask, one count of Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and one count of Burglary. He remains in custody at the Hampton City Jail.
