More heat and humidity….The summer sizzle continues across Hampton Roads and Northeastern NC. In fact, Tuesday could be the hottest day of the year so far! But first, on Monday, expect high temperatures in the mid 90s. The humidity will make it feel like the triple digits.  We’ll see mostly sunny skies through the day. A pop up shower or storm is possible. By Tuesday, high temperatures will soar into the upper 90s/lower 100s. But because of the humidity, most of us will have heat index values in the triple digits. Some areas will feel like 112!  Wow! A few afternoon showers and storms are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening as a cold front moves in from the north. With the front across the area on Wednesday, we’ll see highs in the upper 80s.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy. Stray Shower/Storm (20%). Warm and muggy. Low temperatures in the mid and upper 70s. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.

Monday: Mostly Sunny. Slight Chance of a Shower/Storm (20%). Hot and Humid. High temperatures mid 90s (Heat index in the triple digits). Winds: NW-SE 5-10 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly Sunny. Chance of Showers/Storms (30%). Hot and Humid.  High temperatures in the upper 90s/lower 100s (Heat index in the triple digits). Winds: SW 5-15 mph.
